Rhian Wyn Thomas of Wales and Carly Booth of Scotland have turned professional which leaves 18 of the squad battling it out for the 8 places. Early season form on the Orange Blossom Tour and in the Spanish and Portuguese Ladies Golf Championships could still see an outsider showing good early season form being selected for the GB&I team.

The best early season form has been from Stephanie Meadow who is based in the USA and Danille McVeigh of Ireland, who was sixth in the Portuguese Womens Golf Championship.
